Ein Pantheon (von altgriechisch Ο€αΎΆΞ½ pān β€šall, gesamtβ€˜ und ΞΈΞ΅ΟŒΟ‚ theΓ³s β€šGottβ€˜),cite-ref-1[1] ursprΓΌnglich lateinisch als Pantheum bezeichnet, war in der Antike ein allen GΓΆttern geweihtes Heiligtum. Das in der rΓΆmischen Antike errichtete Pantheon in Rom ist das bekannteste GebΓ€ude dieser Art.

Moderne tempelÀhnliche GedÀchtnis- und BegrÀbnisstÀtten nationaler Persânlichkeiten werden daran anschließend ebenfalls als Pantheon bezeichnet, insbesondere das Pariser Panthéon, dessen Architektur an das Pantheon in Rom angelehnt ist.
